Greetings from the flight deck and welcome to CenterPilot ready to fly buckle up take off maybe bumpy as you learn your wings, but we're confident. You'll be soaring through clear skies and Landing smoothly soon. So sit back relax, and enjoy your flight. The first step in the CenterPilot three-step perfect flight plan is to create pre-save Mills that meet USDA food program compliance. Once Mills are created the Second Step combines Mills in today's and then weeks that reflect cycle menus. The final step is to parachute the mill weeks into the monthly calendar.
Once the first two steps are complete only the third step will need to be repeated monthly saving center staff hours of meal planning time. In this flight training, we will review only the second step how to create pre-saved meal weeks note that we will first watch a short complimentary in-flight video, then we'll review each step in detail. Then the video will replay again at the end. Now that you've seen the complete process, let's discuss in detail each function in the process to begin. Let's take a look at the Mill.
We creation screen and describe each function on this screen already created pre-saved Mills may be arranged together in days. Finally will result in an entire week's worth of meals. Infant and child adult Mills will be selected together on this screen so that they may be scheduled together in step three, which is schedule a pre-saved week when logged in on the center level the name of the center or site will already be selected in grayed out. To edit an existing pre-save meal week select the name of the week from the drop-down menu to add a new pre-save meal week.
Skip the step and enter the name of the pre saved week here. The week will not save until it has been named. Select the weekday to assign Mills from the drop-down menu here. Select Mills for each day from the drop-down menus on the right after editing or grouping a days worth of meals. Click here to save each day's meals. When the first day is saved a grid will appear here that will reflect which Mills are planned for that day. The grid will continue to build as days are saved to add or edit another menu week when finished with the current week select to reset the form here.
Select the mills for each day in the week by selecting the meals from the drop-down menus on the right child adult meals are selected from the drop-down menus in the upper grid and infant menus are selected from drop-down menus in the lower grid as days are saved. The meal details will build in the lower right hand grid. Ready, let's create a pre-saved meal week from the main menu ribbon select pre-save Mills. Then the second choice create edit pre-save Mill week. If creating a new week name the week first at the top of the right side grid, if editing an existing week select the name of the week from the drop-down menu on the left choose the name of the first day for which you wish to enter Mills usually Monday after naming the week and selecting the first day of the week select the already created pre-saved meals from the drop-down menus for the child adult Mills.
This Center only serves breakfast lunch and afternoon snack so only those three meals will be selected. However, any and all of the mill types may be selected for centers that serve more meals during the day. Notice that all created snacks will appear in all snack drop-down menus. The same applies to lunches and suppers since the meal patterns are the same for those two meals. Therefore it's not necessary to create the same meal or snack with the same components more than once. If your Center serves infants under one year of age The Next Step would be to select the infant meals for the day again for this Center only breakfast lunch and afternoon snack will be selected.
When finished adding child adult and infant meals for the day click save this day's pre-saved meals after the save notice that the day just created is now populated in the Grid on the lower left showing at a glance that breakfast lunch and afternoon snack for child adult and infant meals has been saved for that day. The details of those meals will also appear in the Grid on the lower, right? To continue adding days to the week select the next day in this case Tuesday and repeat the process after each save you will see the lower grids populate.
CenterPilot has internal edit checks in place to prevent center staff from creating days and weeks with errors for example a day without a whole grain component will not be saved and a pop-up dialog box will notify of the error notice in this first example that there is no indication in the name of any of the meal selected breakfast lunch and afternoon snack that a whole grain component is included. This is why it's important to include an indication of whole grain in the name of the pre-save meal.
In the second example notice that both the breakfast and the lunch have whole grain components reflected in the names of the meal. This makes it easy to be sure a whole grain is included for the day. Another edit check involves serving a meal that contains juice more than once a day in this example both the breakfast and the afternoon snack contain juice. Since juice is only allowed to be served once a day. The user will receive a pop-up error notification and the day will not save and finally CenterPilot will not allow a day of the week to be saved.
If there are already three days that include a meat alternate in place of a grain at breakfast in this example notice that four days have a meet alternate in place of a grain for breakfast the first three days we'll save but an error message will appear when trying to save the fourth day. Now let's discuss adding infant meals to the same pre-saved week note that infant Mills should be added at the same time as the child adult Mills and saved at the same time for this training. We will show the process separately.
Be sure the correct week is selected select the day of the week to which you will add infant meals select the already pre-saved infant meals from the drop-down menus. Again, this Center only serves breakfast lunch and afternoon snack so only those three meals will be selected click on save this day's pre-saved meals after the save notice that infant meals are now reflected in both of the lower grids. The pre saved week is complete when all days of the week that the center is open has all meals assigned for both infants, if appropriate and non infants the grid helps the center confirm that both the days and week are complete in this example.
The center is open Monday through Friday and serves both infant and child adult meals for breakfast lunch and afternoon snack the menus for the week appear in the lower right hand grid. There you have it now, you know the first two steps in the three-part perfect flight plan when you are ready. Please progress to the next training scheduling pre-saved weeks. As we make our Final Approach into the runway, please. Enjoy our complimentary in-flight video one more time. We thank you for flying with us today.
And as always, thank you for choosing CenterPilot.
