Manage Classrooms
Training slides on setting up and managing classrooms in CenterPilot. Classrooms are how participants get organised, and that organisation shapes how attendance and meal counts are recorded day to day.
What classrooms do
Classrooms are how participants get grouped, and that grouping carries through into how attendance and meal counts are recorded each day. You can add classrooms before you add a single participant. A participant can be put in a classroom as they are enrolled, and anyone who is not assigned lands in the UNASSIGNED classroom until you move them.
Adding a classroom
Go to Facility / Manage Classrooms, type the name of the room, and click Add Classroom. It appears in the grid below showing 0, because nobody has been added to it yet.
Assigning children to a classroom
Pick the classroom you want to move participants out of, or click Display All Participants to reassign several at once. The names in that class, or all of them, appear in the grid on the right. Use the drop-down there to choose the room each participant is moving to. You can do one child at a time or the whole list together, then click Save on the left.
Renaming a classroom
Select the classroom and its name appears in the Editing Classroom cell. Change it there and click Save. The new name replaces the old one in the grid and applies to every child in that room.
Deleting a classroom
Move everyone out of the room first. The count next to the classroom name has to read 0. Then click the red X and confirm at the pop-up, and the room disappears from the list.
